The Residential Security Team (RST) role forms one part of the responsibilities of a Close Protection team as such G8 Security RST officers are qualified Close Protection Officers as it is a legal requirement for a Close Protection Officer to be licenced by the Security Industry Authority (SIA)  and could be employed as such should it be required.

G8 Security RST officers are all highly experienced and are recruited former members of the armed forces, former police officers or private security specialists with each recruit being vetted in compliance with British Standards for security screening (BS7858) and then full due diligence and background checks are carried out before residential security officers join G8 Security employment, over time this additional employment screening procedure including criminal and adverse financial records review, former employment references has allowed G8 Security to build up an impressive team of individuals who will provide the highest level of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail while providing a non-intrusive security service to fit in with the rest of your household staff, and without affecting the life of you or your family.
